The Channel Decision Audit
One budget question, answered with your own records.
We take your lead and sales records, trace every lead to whether it became a paying job, and tell you what to keep, cut or fix. Fixed price, delivered within 2 weeks of receiving your data.
Questions we answer
Bring the decision you're actually facing.
Every audit starts from one question with money riding on it. A few we hear often:
“Should we renew our lead vendor?”
Compare what a signed job from Angi, HomeAdvisor, Houzz or a similar service really costs against your other sources, before the contract renews.
“Where should next year's budget go?”
Rank every paid channel by cost per signed job, so the 2027 budget follows the channels that produce work.
“Is our agency's spend paying off?”
Check paid search or social against signed contracts, not clicks or form fills, with an independent read on the numbers.
“Why do leads stall?”
Find the step between inquiry, consultation, proposal and contract where each channel's leads fall away.
The process
From first call to recommendation.
-
Fit call
We ask three things: What marketing decision are you facing? What do you spend each month? Can you export your leads with their source and outcome?
If your records can't answer the question, we'll say so up front, and point you to the tracking setup instead.
-
Agreement and deposit
A simple service agreement covering scope, timeline, deliverables, one round of revisions and confidentiality. We collect half the fee as a deposit before touching any data. If we stop before the analysis begins, your deposit is refunded in full.
-
You send your records
Lead and client exports from your CRM or spreadsheets, plus monthly spend by channel, ideally 12 months or more. See the full data checklist.
-
We check the data first
Before the analysis starts, we check that the records hold up. If they're far worse than expected, we stop and offer a revised price before going further. If you decline, or the records can't answer your question, your deposit is refunded in full. No surprises on the invoice.
-
We trace every lead to an outcome
We clean the data, link each lead to whether it signed, and test whether the gaps between channels are too large to be chance. Then we divide each channel's spend by its signed jobs and look at where leads drop off along the way.
-
Memo and review call
You get a one-page memo with one clear recommendation and how confident we are in it, the supporting numbers, and a 30-minute call to walk through it. The second half of the fee is due on delivery.
Deliverables
What you receive.
| Deliverable | What it is |
|---|---|
| The answer | A clear recommendation on your one question, with how confident we are |
| Cost per signed job | What each channel really costs per job won, not per lead |
| Funnel check | Where leads drop off between inquiry and signed contract |
| Source-by-source detail | Signing rates with uncertainty ranges, so small channels aren't over- or under-judged |
| One-page memo | What to do next, in plain language |
| Review call | 30 minutes to walk through the findings and your next steps |
A good fit
Who the audit is for.
- Remodelers, design-build firms, kitchen and bath companies, and replacement contractors (windows, baths, roofing, siding)
- About $1–7M in yearly revenue
- Paying for at least two marketing channels
- At least 12 months of records showing where each lead came from and whether it signed
- Facing a real decision right now, like renewing a lead vendor or setting next year's budget
What it isn't
No retainers, no conflicts.
- Not ad management
- Not a monthly dashboard or reporting subscription
- No commissions from any marketing vendor
- No new software to buy
Basic lead reports are already built into tools like Jobber or your CRM. What you're paying for is the decision and the judgment behind it: whether a gap is real, what it costs you, and what to do about it.
