The audit
What exactly does the audit answer?
One marketing-budget question you're facing right now, such as “Should we renew Angi?” or “Where should next year's budget go?” To answer it, we work out what each channel costs per signed job and where leads drop off, then give you a single recommendation with a stated confidence level.
How long does it take?
You'll have the memo within 2 weeks of the day we receive your data. In our published case study, findings were ready in 9 days.
How much of my time does it take?
About an hour in total: the 20-minute fit call, pulling the exports (we'll tell you exactly what to export), answering a few questions about your records, and the 30-minute review call.
What if the answer is “keep everything”?
Then you renew or set your budget knowing it's backed by evidence, and you know which channels to protect if you ever need to cut. We'll give you the answer the numbers support, not the one that sounds most dramatic.
Isn't this already in my CRM's reports?
Most CRMs can count leads by source. Few will tie each lead to whether it signed, combine that with what you spent on each channel, test whether the gaps are real or just noise, and tell you what to do. That judgment is what the audit adds.
Do you work with firms outside Texas?
Yes. The work is done from your exported records and a video call, so location doesn't matter. Core Sample is based in Texas.
Your data
What data do you need?
For each lead: the date, where it came from, its status, and if it signed, the signed date and contract value. Plus monthly spend for each paid channel. Ideally 12 months or more. See the full data checklist.
Which CRMs do you work with?
Any system that can export to a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel), which covers most contractor CRMs. Spreadsheets you keep yourself work too, as long as they record lead source and outcome.
My records are messy. Can you still help?
Almost everyone's are, and cleanup is part of the job. On the free first call we confirm what records you have and whether they track lead source and outcome. After you send your exports, we check them in detail before the analysis starts. If they're far worse than expected, we stop and offer a revised price. If you decline, or the records can't answer your question, your deposit is refunded in full. If your records don't track lead source or outcome at all, we'll suggest the $500 tracking setup instead.
Some of my channels only bring in a few jobs. Is that enough?
Often, yes, as long as we're honest about the uncertainty. We report a range for each channel's signing rate, not just a single number, and we only make a firm call when the conclusion holds even in the channel's best plausible case. If the data can't support a call, we'll say so.
Is my data kept confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is part of our service agreement. Your records are used only for your audit, customer names and contact details are removed wherever the analysis doesn't need them, and nothing is published without your written permission. Privacy policy.
Price and independence
How much does it cost?
$1,000 for the Channel Decision Audit (Pilot price for our first clients). Half is due as a deposit when you sign the agreement, and half on delivery. If we stop before the analysis begins, your deposit is refunded in full. See all pricing.
Do you manage ads or sell marketing services?
No. We don't run campaigns, sell software, or take commissions from any marketing vendor. That independence is a big part of what you're paying for. Read our independence policy.
What happens after the audit?
You act on the recommendation, and that's it: no retainer. If you'd like to see whether the changes paid off, we offer optional re-checks, yearly by default or every 6 months for high-volume firms.
